General Óptica had a space problem in its logistic centre, having found another point where to settle.
Thanks to our WMS (Warehouse Management System) we managed to find that the problem itself was not space but optimization. After a thorough study, General Optica rearranged its warehouse and managed not to have to make a move.
In addition to the savings on relocation and the purchase/rent of a larger logistics centre, there must be added the increase in production achieved with the change in warehouse operations.
It is true that each company needs a personalized study, but applying formalisms such as those of coloured Petri nets, metaheuristics or tree cover exploration will obtain a personalized EMS with the best result for the warehouse in question.
